WHAT WE REMEMBER FROM THE FASHION COLLABORATIONS OF 2021

Collaborations in fashion have been in the spotlight during this year 2021. In order to bring us more and more dreams in the current health crisis, brands have created alliances that are as effective as they are surprising, mixing different sectors such as singing or digestives.

- GUCCI « HACKING » BALENCIAGA

Considered THE fashion collaboration of the year, the collection was eagerly awaited in the Department Stores. For the occasion, the brand has also created an ephemeral pop-up near Shoreditch, London. You can marvel at the carpet mixing GG prints and the electric blue colour representing Balenciaga. You will also be able to see some of the iconic pieces from the collection.

The mix of brand identities is very explicit and the Italian house's designer, Alessandro Michele, has managed to retain the cuts of the double-B house such as its GG printed knife boots and their Triple S with Gucci's floral print.

Don't wait any longer to discover this iconic pop-up. From 5 December, it will enter its third and final phase.

- BALMAIN CELEBRATES 15 YEARS OF CHIVAS

What an anniversary in style ! To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the Scotch specialist, Chivas, has signed a limited collection with the great French fashion brand Balmain. Based on their commonalities, the two brands share their heritages, their audacity and their creativity.

The fashion house's artistic director, Olivier Rousteing, says that « Chivas has always adhered to the highest standards with neither house being afraid to push boundaries and break with outdated conventions. » So it was only logical that he reused Balmain's iconic oversized chains for the design of this ephemeral collection.

In addition to being selected for Fashion Weeks, Chivas is now part of the iconic Balmain Army.

- SKIMS x FENDI

A few weeks after the collaboration with Versace that marked Milan Fashion Week, Fendi's artistic director Kim Jones surprised us by signing a new collaboration with the shapewear brand Skims, headed by Kim Kardashian. A collection marked by the monograms of the two brands, we find mainly tight looks, highlighting the silhouette of all women. Underwear becomes a garment in its own right with ultra-stylish bras.

Kim Kardashian, the reality TV star who has often been associated with plastic surgery and an overly "perfect" body, is promoting diversity of shape and ethnicity through this collection which is already sold out on their website.

- MUGLER BY WOLFORD

A must-have accessory for autumn/winter, tights have been brought up to date by Mugler. Known for highlighting hyper-feminine and futuristic silhouettes, the French couturier reuses the shapes of his latest collection for this unmissable collaboration. Sublimating the curves of all morphologies, these tights made in Austria play between satin and matte material effects as well as transparent and opaque.

More than just a graphic and durable pair of tights, the two houses are committed to using innovative technology in their shaping construction and sculpting fit. Having won over many celebrities, such as Bella Hadid, we're sure they'll appeal to all other fashion lovers.

Many other collaborations have marked the fashion scene this year, such as Gucci x The North Face, Aya Nakamura x Undiz or Chloé x MoonBoots. Thus, mixing know-how, creativity and heritage, all these houses prove to us that mixity remains without any doubt the future of fashion.
